Member Update | Important information for Domino’s workers

SDA continues push for better wages and conditions at Domino’s

As you are aware, the SDA has been pushing for a new Domino’s Agreement to improve your pay and conditions at work and importantly, improve your penalty rates.

In order to do this, we filed to terminate all current Domino’s Agreements in the Fair Work Commission in June 2016 and again in July 2017.

We are now in the final stages of negotiations for a new Domino’s Agreement that would cover all employees working in-store and as delivery assistants.

All employees will then have an opportunity to vote on whether or not to accept any new proposed agreement.

If we are unable to reach agreement with the Company for a new Domino’s Agreement that provides workers with the best possible outcomes – our applications to terminate all current Agreements will go ahead.

The Fair Work Commission has confirmed that hearings to terminate will be listed for 1 November 2017. The termination of Domino’s Agreements will mean workers will be covered by the Fast Food Award instead of an agreement.

If this does happen, the SDA will be there to provide comprehensive information and support about any changes to your workplace entitlements.

The SDA continues to fight for the best possible outcomes for Domino’s workers.

We will update all Domino’s members with more information as it happens.

Remember, we are here to help. If you have a problem at work whether it’s your breaks, pay slips or rates of pay we can provide information, support and advice.

Please contact the SDA if you have any questions about this or any other workplace matter.
